DSR Seattle Saturday Highlights:

  • Three-time Pacific Raceways Top Fuel defending event champion Antron Brown qualified 11th for race day and will attempt to become the first driver to win four consecutive Seattle trophies in any NHRA pro category
  • Matt Hagan leads DSR as the highest-qualified entry and will start race day from third
  • Jack Beckman powered to the second-quickest pass in the final qualifying session to earn a spot in the top half of the Funny Car field.
  • Round one will feature a DSR intramural Funny Car battle between Beckman and Tommy Johnson Jr.
  • Leah Pritchett qualified in the quick-half of the Top Fuel field and will look to avenge last week’s first-round loss to Austin Prock during round one

“We didn’t have our normal qualifying this weekend. We did a little bit of experimenting. We were in the show after Q1, and we’re getting close to the Countdown, so the guys were trying some stuff. It didn’t work so we went back to our normal setup for Q4, and we’re right in the hunt of things. I feel confident going into tomorrow; we have our race car back and need to go some rounds and put some more pressure on.”


DSR Seattle Friday Highlights:

  • Matt Hagan leads the DSR Funny Car brigade as the provisional No. 3 qualifier heading into Saturday. He raced the Sandvik Coromant Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Widebody to the third quickest run of Q2
  • Leah Pritchett powered the Sparkling Ice +Caffeine Top Fuel dragster to the quickest run of the opening session and finishes Friday in the No. 5 spot
  • Ron Capps joins Hagan in the top half of the Funny Car field after making the second-quickest pass of Q1
